Who We Are at HRC
The Healing and Recovery Center of Arizona’s (HRC) philosophy embraces the strength of culture, identity, and spirituality as primary components of recovery for Native Peoples. Focusing on a holistic approach to behavioral health, addiction treatment, and recovery, HRC relies on traditional Native cultural knowledge and teachings blended with clinical behavioral health approaches to nurture and strengthen the mind, body, and spirit—which is where the healing journey begins.
Our mission is to support individuals facing behavioral health, mental health, and addiction-related challenges through compassionate, client-centered, trauma-informed care that recognizes the whole person. HRC offers a full range of counseling and wellness services tailored to each individual’s unique needs, experiences, and circumstances. By integrating clinically proven therapeutic approaches with a holistic focus on emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual well-being, HRC addresses a wide range of concerns—from everyday stress and life challenges to more complex mental health conditions, addiction, and critical incident support. Our goal is to help each person build resilience, restore balance, strengthen their well-being, and move toward lasting healing and recovery.

At Healing and Recovery Center of Arizona (HRC), we envision becoming a trusted source of culturally grounded, trauma-informed outpatient behavioral health care for the Native community. We provide comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, individualized counseling, and ongoing support through an approach that honors culture, identity, spirituality, and each person’s unique healing journey.
Our vision is to serve as a coordinated center of care, connecting clients not only with behavioral health and addiction recovery services, but also with primary care providers, hospitals, specialty care, insurance partners, educational institutions, workforce programs, charitable organizations, government agencies, and other community resources. Through strong relationships with clients, staff, families, and community partners, we are committed to making care accessible, connected, culturally responsive, and centered on the whole person.
